Folica Favorites
I was looking through Folica the other day and I realized there are so many great products I love on this site. And so many products I want to try. The thing I love the most about this website, is the page with the top 10 of everything. This list is put together not by the editors of the site, but based on costumer reviews and thousands of them. Almost every single product on this site has a costumer review, making my decision process so much easier. Folica is truly my all time favorite site to find hair care products. Today I am going to about my two favorite hair tools from Folica, since they are currently hosting a promotion for 25% of all hair tools.

Sedu Revolution Tourmaline Ionic Styling Iron 1inch
I love this thing, I'm sure on my blog there is another review about this saying just how much I love it. I have had this straightener everyday for just about 3 years now and it's the greatest one I have ever used. It heats up incredibly quick, stays hot and straightens my hair in no time. It has a temperature setting, light that flashes different colors and the ends are designed to stay cool, so they can be touch while the iron is on. The side of iron are rounded, which allows you to create curls, waves or flip the ends of your hair. This is my favorite hair tool and I use it everyday.
Everday Price= $200
After the coupon code and 20% that was already taken off= $120
Savings $80 and a years worth of burnt hair, straighteners that don't
heat properly and dissatisfaction.
Hot Tool Professional Spring Curling Iron
These are my stand by curling iron and I use them continuously. I have them in three different sizes; 3/4inch, 1 inch and 1-1/2inch. These heat up really nicely, the springs on the clamps haven't gone and the barrel hasn't discolored (I always assume when the barrel changes color I have used a product that ruined it or the coating has worn off). The heat up time isn't the best but once they are hot, the irons stay hot throughout the time I curl my hair. I still prefer a curling iron with a clamp, opposed to a wand. I find with these I can use it either way so it's like getting two products out of one. The price of these irons vary with the size of the iron, the most expensive being $41. With all the iron you can also get the 25% discount.
Shears or hair scissors (as I have always called them)
I do not have a specific pair to show you since the ones I currently own my Dad bought a few years ago and are still going string. But what I have to say about shears and why you should pick up a nice pair is that when you have bangs it is nice to keep up with trimming the at home. Also for impromptu hair cuts, as I sometimes give myself. Overall it's really nice to have a pair of shears around to keep up with that. You do not want texturizing or thinning shears, just a straight blade. The Cricket S-2 600 6" inch shear has a good review, none of them have more than one review. The review seems promising and theres a lifetime warranty, so if the blade dulls or the spring breaks you can get it fixed.
There are other products listed under the Top 10 categories that you should take a look at before checking out. Don't forget to use the coupon code when purchasing these products and that any or over $50 will receive free shipping.

Make Up Shelf Life and Being Sanitary
I found this really cool chart for how long you are able to keep your make up for, this is something thats really important to know and follow. Using old make up can cause your skin to break out and possibly an infection, especially if it's used near your eyes. This is not to say that you shouldn't keep your make up clean as well, try to always keep clean brushes and try not to share makeup. Beauty So Clean is a website that sells products to keep your make up and brushes clean. At the end of the post I will link some informational blog posts on how to keep your make up sanitary. Even though most of them are geared towards make up artists, when doing anyones make up you should keep sanitary conditions. Even if it's for fun, you don't want to cause anyone to get an infection. You wouldn't put dirt on your face and by not keeping your make up or brushes clean your doing that. Hope this serves as a reminder to keep your make up clean and in turn it will keep your skin clean.

Saving Mr. Banks
I have never written a movie review, except for a class I have a lot of practice in that. I tend to watch lots of movies, some are just for background noise and others are to truly watch and enjoy the content. If I see a movie in theaters I give it my full attention, especially since I'm paying $14 to see it. I think this will be a fun thing to write about and lets get on with my first review.
Last night I saw Saving Mr. Banks, which is based on the making of Mary Poppins with Walt Disney and Pamela Travers (the author of the book) as characters. I'm not sure what it is about the story that I am so taken by, I have watched the movie so many times I can sing the songs and I've even gone to see the musical. And this movie gives such an amazing look into the origin of the book, it makes me really appreciate the story even more. They say writes write about things they know, this book was based around the authors life.
I am going to try very hard not to spoil this movie for you all, but if you love Mary Poppins, Walt Disney or are even remotely interested in seeing how a movie is made; then you must see this movie. The audience is given such a behind the scenes look into the struggles of making this movie and how a person can be so connected to the past and the stories they can create from it. The characters seem true, Pamela Travers is stubborn and holds he ground when it comes to certain decisions; as did the real person. Walt Disney seem to be alive and have this seemly child-like hope throughout the movie. The story was told not as if it were fiction, with characters that were create but almost like a documentary. An inside look into the Disney studios, Walt himself and the designs that lead to the creation of that iconic movie. Though it is not a documentary and somethings were sugar coated for the audience and not everything happened as was said, the specifics aren't important in this case. Getting the story of how this movie was made was the important thing.
At times the movie can be sad, as you look back into her life as a child but as an overall you find the real meaning behind the worlds beloved Mary Poppins.

Looking Back at 2013 and Looking Forward
This year I feel as if so many things have changed. I broker up with my boyfriend of two years, who wasn't the worst but was not a man in any sense and not what I needed in my life. I lived as if I was already married, at only 18 years old and never went out and lived my life. After that though I found a man that treats me like gold and has brought so much fun and adventure into my life, which is what I need more than anything. I quite my job that made me terribly unhappy all time, that was such a weight lifted off my back. I started my second year of college, declaring Television and radio as my major; with a minor in political science. I passed my road test and got my first car, it's ultimate freedom. I got to see a show tapped live for the first time. Cut off most of my long hair, it became a bob. This year has been both good and bad, with a major change right in the middle. Overall it was great.
For the new year I am not making any resolutions, not to say that there aren't things in my life that need to be changed. I just feel that if i truly want to change a specific aspect of my life the start of a new year will make it any easier. I believe that as you realize faults in your life you should change them right on the spot. If you realize in September that you have been eating out too much and need to lose some weight, start then. Don't wait for some day on the calendar to begin a new, if we live like that nothing inout lives will ever change. Opposed to making gradual changes in your life, you will burden yourself with multiple changes all at once and it will be harder to achieve your goal.
Saying that, I have made a new years resolution that I have been working on already. I vow to live in the moment, to take each opportunity as it comes to me and never back down because I am afraid. So far I have been doing all right with this, a little bit each day and I may not say yes to everything. Go out and make your resolutions, not because today is January first but because you want to make a change and today is no better than tomorrow.
In 2013 I have neglected this blog, but I am going to make an effort to blog more. The issue is that my life hasn't been as focused around make up as it used and I felt I couldn't write about anything but make up on here. That will be no more, I am going to make this into more of a life blog. What I want to write about is what I'll write about. Whether it's a new website I found for school, a movie, a book or there might even bee some make up. I hope to see you in the upcoming days.
Love,
Rose

Where Have I Been?
I don't know how I ended up not posting for this time. I have thought of posts that I wanted to write, but somewhere along the way I got lost. A little discouraged by lack of followers, a lack of a decent of place to film videos, just everything. I also got incredibly busy. Now this is not an excuse, there are no excuses in the real world. I'm in the fourth week of classes right now and I have started my major. One thing they are drilling into our heads is that it's either early or on time, but never later. Late is never an option. So here I pledge to post one blog a week, every week on Friday. Maybe once in awhile a video, but at least a written post. Even if just to say hi, or tell you how stressful of a week I am having because of all this damn homework.
So see you Friday,
Rose

Heyyyyy
I have been so swamped with school lately it's not funny. 5 classes at school, 3 shifts a week at work, homework and a small social life is really just too much. Never again will I take 5 classes, I probably will. So keeping up with a blog and YouTube channel have been a lot. There have been a lot of video's going up lately and I haven't been putting them here. I will list the recent ones below and try to keep up posting on here, I can only try. Sorry I'm such a slacker guys.

Psssssst... I have a Secret for You
This secret is for all my dark haired girls out there in need of some dry shampoo. Is your current dry shampoo leaving your hair looking a little bit gray?? Leaving behind a white residue?? Well that really doesn't make your hair look better the second day, now does it?
I have found a dry shampoo, whose spray is seemingly clear (when sprayed on the hand it dries clear) and makes your hair look great the next day. Freeman's Pssssst! Dry Shampoo, which refreshes without water, builds volume and preserves color. It does all it claims to do, and by preserving color it means it doesn't leave your hair looking a bit gray.
How I use it: first I spray it into my hair, where ever it is looking greasy which is mainly along my hair line and the part of my hair. Then I let it sit for a few minutes so that it can absorb all the oils in your hair. Now the can says to brush thoroughly and most people do this with a boar bristle brush. However that seems to just flatten my hair, instead I brush through and finger comb my hair. Since the product is seemingly clear you don't have to worry about brushing it out... and this leaves you hair a little bit more voluminousness.
Hope you enjoyed my secret, Rose

New Years Resolution
Hey Girls,
I know I haven't been posting a lot and I am sorry for that. In the beginning of December I had to finish up school work and my finals. Then it was Christmas and I hadve been working a lot. So my resolution this year is to be good about posting blogs and videos. I want to do one video and one blog, at least, a week. It's not a lot but please keep in mind I go to school full time, as well as work a job 16 hours a week, sometimes more. If I put pressure on myself to post a lot it just wont be fun.
Happy New Years, Rose

TipDay #6
If you have rough skin or acne on the back of your arms, using a face scrub once a week will help clear it up. I find it works best if I use one for acne prone skin. I like to use the St. Ives Apricot Face Scrub, it's my favorite.

Crest 3D White Update
Hey Girls,
So I must be honest I quit, after 3 days. I know that's terrible and I'm sorry, but I had to. My teeth hurt so bad, both when I was using then and day to day life. If it was cold outside and I took a breath it hurt my teeth. I just couldn't keep doing it to my teeth, it hurt so bad. I even took a night off and then did the third application. Honestly, my teeth have just become really sensitive over the years and I know it's not good.
Even after the 3 times I used them, I saw a difference like they said. If you find that you haven't used all 20 days but your teeth look the way you'd like them too, stop. Don't use the whole thing, it's better for your teeth and then you can use the extra's as touch ups when needed.
This is a really great product, I know this because I have used it many times before. Using it so many time may be one of the reasons my teeth are so sensitive, but every once in awhile is ok. It makes your teeth nice and white for a lot cheaper than a dentist would. I am so sorry I could not follow this through, but please take my word that it is a great product.
Stay beautiful, Rose

TipDay #5
To keep hair strong and healthy, take a daily multi-vitamin. Your hair is basically dead cells and cells need nutrients to be healthy. I also take biotin, which is a really good supplement for hair and nails. But I am not a doctor so the only thing I will be recommending is a daily vitamin because everyone should take one.
This is the daily vitamin I take.
I also thing they make my hair grow a little bit faster, but I have no idea.

Crest 3D White Challenge
Hey Girls,
So this isn't some crazy challenge, basically all I have to use the Crest 3D White Strips until I have finished the box. Now these were sent to me for free, however I have used these white strips tons of times. I even wrote a blog, My Pearly Whites, ages ago. This time though I am going to follow the whole box through. Below is a picture of what me teeth look like before, and some pictures of the product.

Now a little bit about me, well really my teeth. I have super sensitive teeth naturally. I think it's to due with the braces, after they take them off they file off the glue and I have very thin enamel because of that. I also drink a lot of Coke and Coffee, which yellow teeth badly. Though my teeth aren't terrible yellow, I don't think so at least. Every 5 days I will put up a post about my progress and some more information in each.

To help healthy hair grow, avoid heat tools. Let you hair air dry and if you must use heat, put a heat protectant on before.
