Busy Weeks

Sorry I haven't posted much this week. The video I had planed to upload yesterday didn't work out as planned. The file was corrupt so it wouldn't upload to YouTube. Plus I had already deleted the video from both my camera and computer. It's been yet another busy week. Last week I got stuck working everyday, this week is also busy but not as dreadful. I have a lot of Senior stuff to do. Yesterday was my last band concert and tomorrow night is one of the awards nights. Today I had work and I have work on Friday :( But Saturday is Prom!!!! Guys I am so excited for prom and that I get to this amazing experience with you. There will be a video up next week with pictures and a few video clips. Hope you guys understand that this is a busy time for me being a Senior and it being the end of school, with a few projects due.
I will be back next week, I promise, Rose

Prom: Makeup

Dear Beautiful,
I have gone back and forth on how to do my make up for prom. I have finally decided and I think this is the perfect look for me. It's not too dramatic and not too simple. Just like my dress. I hope you guys enjoy this video and find it useful.

Reminder: You don't have to be going to prom to wear this look. The best place to wear it is out. Whether it be any type of party, out to dinner with your friends, or just anywhere you find it appropriate.

Bad Gal

Dear Beautiful,
My experiences with high end mascaras hasn't been overwhelmingly amazing. Now they weren't horrible but I didn't find that they were worth the money. Except for the Benefit Bad Gal Lash. It's just amazing. I was able to get my hands on a sample size and used it til there was absolutely nothing left. I even went out and bought the mascara the day I finished it. It lengths, separates, curls and adds volume to my eye lashes. That is one product that does everything. I don't even have to curl my eyelashes before I use it. The mascara isn't clumpy and doesn't take long to put it on. It's super easy to work with, there is no need to constantly run the brush through to make the lashes separate. I love this mascara even more than I love my colossal lash. And you guys know that I swear by that mascara, so for me to say I love this more takes a lot. This is a really great product that is great for anyone. It takes to seconds to put on and does wonders for your lashes. I fully recommend this product to anyone that is looking for an amazing high end mascara.

Masked Girl

Dear Beautiful,
I put up my skin care video the other day and there was no face mask in the video. This is because I have no face mask that I use constantly, go out and buy when its done, or love. I seem to just drift between whatever face mask I have a sample of or find in medicine chest. A few months ago, I was sent a Pangea  Organics face mask. I had used a toner from them once before and loved it. I really want to get my hand on more of their products.

The mask I tried was Japanese Matcha Tea with Acai & Goji Berry, which is for all skin types. One of the thing I love about their products is right on the package they have a list of things this product will do. I can sum this product up in one word, amazing, but I will go into more detail. This mask you put on your face and leave it there for 10-20 minutes while it dries. I normally hate masks like that because they always smell bad. And when looking at the greenish mud looking mixture your putting on your face you would assume that for this one as well. However it surprising smells fresh, almost like pine needles. So while you sit there waiting for it to dry your not completely grossed out by the smell.

Me with the mask on
To get it off you wet your hands and rub in upward motions. When I read you had to rub it with wet I thought it wont work, just spread the product around further. If it is completely dry it will begin to make little tiny balls and come off your face easily. When I got it off my face, my skin felt refreshed and super clean. Also really soft and moisturizer. I didn't really need to put on moisturizer, but of course I did just to be safe. Though it is $40, I find this product worth it. My skin felt amazing afterwards, and you only use a tiny bit each time. I have a 1 FL OZ sample and I'm pretty sure I can get about 8 or 10 uses out of it. So if the full size is 4 FL OZ there should be about 35 uses in there.

Wear the Rainbow

Dear Beautiful,

T-shirts are great for the summer. Thin, lose ones that allow air in that way you wont get too hot. When I was in forever21 the other day I found some great v-neck and crew necks. I bought about 10 while I was there.

They were only $5 each. I think the crew neck one was $6, but even then how can u complain. I got one in all my favorite colors while I was there. They are perfect for anything. They fit just a little bit lose and have a bit of stretch. Plus there light but not thin so you can't see your bra underneath. To me these are a steal and great for summer. If I were you I would go get a few in my favorite color.

DIY Brush Cleaner

Dear Beautiful,
I use my brushes everyday, which means I need to clean the frequently. I have never actually bought a brush cleaner, I didn't see the point. Instead I use products that I have in my house. All you need is olive oil, baby body wash and paper towels.
The first thing I do is pour olive oil on a plate ( the amount depends on how many brushes your doing but you can start out with a little and add more). Dip the brush in the olive oil and rub the brush on a paper towel until no more make up comes off it. This will deep clean the brushes and remove all make up.
Once done with that rinse with baby body wash. This will remove all the oil and left over make up and leave them soft. Shape the brushes and leave them to dry on a paper towel.

Prom: My Dress!!!

Dear Beautiful,
I have debated on whether or not to show my dress yet. I wanted to make it the last prom post but I can't put it off anymore. My last two posts don't make sense without you knowing what my dress looks like. So here it is, I hope you all like it. The brand is Ted Baker and the color is Ecru. I didn't want to go with a print but when I saw this one I couldn't help myself. It caught my eye the second I saw it and it was the only one i tried on. I fell in love instantly and still love it. I can't wait to wear it, finally.

Not Your Mothers

Dear Beautiful,
Everyone wants to have beachy waves for the summer. You can braid your hair, use salt water sprays in your hair or just let it dry naturally if that's how it dries. My hair naturally dries wavey but I wanted to see if I could get it a bit wavier. I ordered Not Your Mothers Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt spray about a year ago, for last summer. I tried it a few times and hated it. I have tried it many times in between and still hate it. I tried spraying a lot and a little and everything in between. I have braided my hair and put it up in a bun while the product was in it. Every time it makes my hair sticky and stringy and straight. Not what I want it to be. Yes I know salt water will make your hair sticky and stringy, however it doesn't make my hair wavey. Its not worth it, if my hair isn't the least bit wavey. When I let my hair dry naturally it's actually wavier. So I feel that for a person with straighter hair than mine will have no luck. I don't like this product and don't recommend it to anyone, for me it was a waste of $6.

Shady Lady

Dear Beautiful,

It's already spring and the sun is shining beautifully outside. Though we all lose the sun, it's not always great for your body. We are all well aware of the damages the sun does to your skin. It can cause your skin to become wrinkly faster and even worse, cause cancer. The best thing a person can do is always wear sunscreen on your face and on days that you know you will be outside for more than an hour wear sunscreen all over. Now you don't have to slather on SPF 60 but don't go out without protection. On days that I know I will be out for a long time I wear SPF 10 and reapply about every hour and a half.

The sun can also damage your eyes. You can actually get cancer in your eye. Statistics show that people with blue or light eyes are more likely to get this kind of cancer from the sun. I have blue eyes and I take the one precaution I can when it comes to this, wearing sunglasses. Its so easy to do I think everyone should do it regardless of their eye color. There super stylish and you can get a great pair for $3.50 at forever 21. I like these better than my Ray-Bans.
